Frequently asked questions
Are your meats halal certified?
We work with halal-friendly suppliers but do not currently hold halal certification ourselves. If your event requires a certified-halal-only kitchen, we'll be straight with you and recommend a partner. For most of our customers, halal-friendly sourcing alongside generous vegetarian and vegan options is the right fit.
Can I see ingredient and supplier information?
Yes — we send full allergen, ingredient and supplier breakdowns ahead of every event on request. Email catering@shakumaku.ie.
Do you cater for end-of-Ramadan or Eid gatherings?
We do — Eid is one of our busiest weeks. Book early; slots fill in advance.
What is the minimum order for catering?
€100 for collection and €350 for delivery. Per-person Shaku Feast buffets have a 30-guest minimum so the kitchen can prep the full spread.
How much notice do you need?
Forty-eight hours is the standard minimum. For events of 50 guests or more we recommend a week so we can lock the kitchen timings and confirm delivery windows around your run-of-show.
Do you offer vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options?
Yes — every section of our menu carries a vegetarian option, with vegan and gluten-free spreads available on request. We can split a single delivery across multiple dietary trays so every guest is looked after.
