These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of shakumaku.ie (the "Website") and any catering services booked through it (the "Services") supplied by Vantage Fresh Ltd T/A Shaku Maku, a company registered in Ireland (VAT IE4368598KH) ("we", "us", "our"). By placing an order, registering an account, or using the Website, you agree to these Terms.
1. Services
We supply Middle Eastern / Lebanese catering for corporate events, private gatherings, and hospitality functions in the Dublin area. Orders may be placed online, by email, or by phone. All orders are subject to availability and our acceptance.
2. Ordering & booking
- Minimum notice for most orders is 48 hours. Shorter notice may be accepted subject to capacity and may require an authorisation code.
- Minimum order value: €100. Free delivery within Dublin on orders over €350.
- A booking is confirmed only when (a) you receive a written order confirmation from us and (b) any applicable deposit has been received and cleared.
- Final guest numbers, dietary requirements, delivery address and event time must be confirmed at least 48 hours before the event.
3. Prices & payment
All prices on the Website are in Euro (€) and are inclusive of applicable Irish VAT unless stated otherwise. We reserve the right to correct pricing errors prior to order acceptance.
We accept the following payment methods at our discretion: credit/debit card via Stripe or Revolut, bank transfer, or pro-forma invoice for approved corporate accounts.
3.1 Deposits and balance (deposit orders only)
When a deposit option is selected at checkout, the following applies:
- A 50% deposit (or such other percentage as shown at checkout, the "Deposit") is charged immediately via card and secures your booking slot.
- The remaining balance must be received by bank transfer no later than 48 hours before the scheduled delivery date, quoting the order ID as reference.
- Failure to pay the balance by the due date will entitle us to cancel the booking and retain the Deposit without further notice.
- The deposit acceptance is recorded in your order with timestamp and IP for audit purposes, and the same legal terms are reproduced on the invoice issued.
3.2 Corporate accounts & invoicing
Approved corporate clients may be offered credit terms (typically 14 days from invoice date). Overdue invoices accrue interest and recovery costs in line with the Late Payment in Commercial Transactions Regulations 2012 (S.I. No. 580/2012).
4. Cancellations, changes & refunds

Changes to guest numbers or menu items within 48 hours of the event are accommodated only where reasonably possible and may attract additional charges. No refund is payable for a reduction in guest numbers within 48 hours of the event.
5. Delivery, collection & set-up
- Delivery windows are agreed at booking. We will make every reasonable effort to deliver within the window, but cannot be liable for delays caused by traffic, weather, access restrictions, or any event outside our reasonable control.
- It is your responsibility to ensure a suitable, accessible delivery point and, where applicable, someone present to accept the delivery.
- Equipment, serve-ware and chafing dishes provided on loan remain our property and must be returned clean within 3 business days of the event. Lost or damaged equipment will be charged at replacement cost.
6. Food safety, allergens & dietary requirements
Our kitchen handles allergens including gluten, nuts, sesame, dairy, eggs, soy, fish, mollusks and crustaceans. While every reasonable effort is made to avoid cross-contamination, we cannot guarantee that any item is allergen-free. Customers must notify us of any life-threatening allergies in writing at the time of booking.
Prepared food should be consumed within 2 hours of delivery or stored at the appropriate temperature. We cannot accept responsibility for food quality or safety once the order has left our premises if our storage and handling guidance is not followed.
7. Liability
Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for (a) death or personal injury caused by our negligence, (b) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or (c) any other liability which cannot be limited by Irish law.
Subject to the above, our total liability arising out of or in connection with an order is limited to the amount paid by you for that order. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or pure economic loss (including loss of profits, reputation, goodwill or opportunity).
8. Force majeure
We are not liable for any failure or delay in performance caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including acts of God, fire, flood, storm, pandemic, industrial action, supply-chain failure, cyber attack, or governmental restriction. Where such an event prevents performance, we will issue a credit note or reschedule the event on mutually agreed terms.
9. Intellectual property
All content on the Website — text, photographs, recipes, menu descriptions, branding and design — is owned by us or our licensors and may not be reproduced without written permission.
10. Account security
If you register an account with us (corporate portal), you are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at hello@shakumakucatering.com if you suspect unauthorised use.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. The version in force at the time of your order applies to that order. Material changes will be highlighted on the Website for at least 30 days.
12. Governing law & jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by Irish law. The courts of Ireland have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Services, save that we reserve the right to bring proceedings in the jurisdiction of a business customer's registered office.
